The goal of 11th Hour Theatre Company is to practice, perform, and create through the artform of
theatre while developing the skills of and introducing new experiences to the students involved.
This educational group works throughout each semester, providing a wide array of hands-on
opportunities that bolster the extensive array of experiences offered by groups and majors
throughout the Otterbein campus.

Being a member of and working with 11th Hour is beneficial as it allows for student collaboration. It is another way that theater students are able to learn about what it means to put on a theater production, but it also allows for non-theater majors to still be involved in theater.

Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma are national academic honorary societies for students who have achieved at least a 3.5 GPA and are in the top 20 percent of their class in their first year of college. Eligible students are invited to lifetime membership in Otterbein's merged chapter after fall semester of their freshman year. Members who continue to maintain high academic standing are eligible for various awards and scholarships, including fellowships for graduate study. The honorary society members may participate in a variety of community service and membership events

Otterbein's Animal Health Science Club is geared toward strengthening post-graduation plans for students majoring in Zoo & Conservation Science, Equine Veterinary Technology, Equine Pre-Veterinary/Pre-graduate Studies, or any student with the intentions of applying to veterinary school. This organization shall strive to encourage, inform and prepare its members by providing opportunities in leadership, career exploration, and professional networking. This organization will use its knowledge and abilities to benefit animal related charities and promote a sense of appreciation and understanding of animal related issues in the community.

The purpose of the organization is to provide athletes in STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) an outlet to easily gain experience and knowledge that is essential for the next steps after their undergraduate education. We recognize the difficulties of balancing athletics and academics and want to assist in resume building along with application preparation.

The Purposes of Birderbein include:
1. Educating others about the importance and wonder of birds both local and worldwide.
2. Having a leading role in any conservation or research projects regarding birds on or off campus.
3. Simply providing a group of individuals and leaders that share a passion/interest in birds; friend's to go birding with!
These goals will be accomplished through birding in the field, trips to aviaries, zoos and various parks, and by meeting with educational speakers/professionals. The Club will also take part in conservation and research of birds through building and maintenance of bird boxes, bird feeders and other relevant bird projects at the time.

The African-American Student Union (AASU) was established in 1987 to promote unity and cooperation among African-American students and all students with similar interests and/or backgrounds. Membership is open to any Otterbein student who supports and respects the heritage, legacies and cultural traditions of African-American people. We did change our name from The African American Student Union (AASU) to The Black Student Union (BSU) during the 2022-2023 to be more inclusive.

Cardy's Classics Club provides a safe space for students to explore their interest in Greek and Roman mythology. Otterbein does not have a classics program at all, so students who have an interest in this field are able to explore it through Classics Club. Students will read, write, and explore all things ancient Greek and Roman!

Our club aligns with Otterbein’s mission, goals, and values through our commitment to inclusion, equality, learning, and adaptation. Through the game of Dungeons and Dragons, players will gain valuable skills on how to think on their feet, overcome problems while cooperating in a group, and put themselves in another person’s shoes. During campaigns, players will be allowed to become whoever they want to play as, allowing for diversity, and through fair gameplay and equal opportunities for all students, equality and inclusion will be non-negotiable. Throughout our many games, players will learn to adapt to new situations and will become more forward-thinking on how to solve problems and adapt to difficult situations. Through our various campaigns, our team of Dungeon Masters will work to educate those playing through fun game implementations and real-life allegories.

There are no formal membership benefits, such as financial, academic, or material benefits. However, members of the club will have access to all meetings, updates, and support of the group. If contact information is provided, they will be privy to events before non-members, and will have access to communication channels exclusively with other group members and leaders. Those that want to be in a long-form campaign must be a member, however, shorter campaigns and single group meetings are subject to flexibility.
